Been visiting family so I did no work but thankfully still making money. Crossed $1k MRR a few days ago!
- ASA ads still running at ~$20-30/day
- ASO rankings for app #4 improving
- Established app #2 growing
- New paywall lowered my CR

This app is still getting downloads via ASO and SEO. Tracking this with Search Console, great tool. SEO is underrated. Devs forget that 95% of folks still use google for everything.

4. Paywall issue
So before leaving for this trip I changed the paywall, I added some stars to highlight my App Store rating and changed a few words. It's hard to be sure but I am convinced this lowered my conversion rate. I can't wait to get back and fix this.

Been very sick the past few days while visiting family and did nothing. Really need a proper long break from this for the next few weeks.
ASA still running at $30-$50/day, trials coming in at break-even ROAS but keyword rankings are going up.

I did some research for a new app or a web SaaS, decided against the SaaS for now. I will build my 5th app targeting a specific keyword I can compete for.
Would love to build a web SaaS but it's a lot more involved imo than an app.

Added a feature to app #4 to keep screen at 65% brightness minimum when tracking based on user feedback. Responded to a few emails from users. Busy day otherwise, jet lag wearing off.

I'm so jet lagged I don't even know what day I'm supposed to be in. Stuck on the plain for 21 hours so impossible to do any work, no energy to do anything on the train. Next few weeks might be a little slow (family time)

Getting ready for 5 weeks abroad to see the family. No time for work. Been monitoring ASA restart, stopping and starting my 6 campaigns was probably not a good idea but needed to establish ROAS.

New update got approved, restarted my apple ads campaigns at $60/day. I have positive ROAS so gotta trust the numbers.
Also had to defend my other app to a disgruntled user who added me on Facebook and didn't understand my team pricing! The joys...

Finished all tasks for app #4's update and send for review.
Also spend 2hrs swapping ad copies and adjusting budgets and bids as per ROAS. Used Claude Code with 3 MCPs to analyse the data.
Tried @maks6361 PPP pricing script but realised it's for new apps :(

Pro tip: when you ask a simple yes or no question to AI simply append with "y/n" and the response is always one character. Cuts through a lot of wasted tokens

Claude Code is able to find:
- organic vs ad app installs
- organic vs ad trial activation and conversion
- organic vs ad revenue and ROAS
- trial user behaviour
- app store keyword rankings
Using these 3 MCP servers:
- RevenueCat MCP
- Posthog MCP
- AstroMCP

Day #274 - 4.75hrs
Completed all tasks in the spec for app #4's update.
Losing a lot of US trials due to measurement unit mismatch (they see meters but expect feet) so be good to fix.
Working with Codex is a breeze, stopped reading all code, I spin a subagent to review instead
