Codex just launched one of the coolest features - Appshots. by pressing both CMD keyboard buttons, context of whatever app you're on gets sent to Codex, including screenshots and text. you might be thinking "isn't this the same as screenshotting and pasting it", and no it isn't. Appshots also pass in context from the app that isn't visible on the screen. For example if you're viewing a Google Doc and take an appshot, it passes in text that's scrolled offscreen as well. along with this release, OpenAI made remote Codex still work even while your laptop screen is locked, so you can leave your laptop on 24/7 at home, safely, while you code from your phone. highly recommend trying out the Codex app - so many features that don't exist elsewhere yet and the app is just delightful to use

Composer 2.5 was released 2 months after Composer 2 this means Composer 3 should be next month if we assume it'll be 2 months again 👀

mobile app TT ads update - $200 spent, 0 conversions CTR is inflated because i tested slideshows which seem to have a really high CTR but low conversion rate my app update finally got approved which included a checkout abandon offer and a design update, so hopefully that helps

my mobile app's TT ads have had ~75% of installers reach the paywall but no one has subscribed yet 💀 so 0/64 trying to figure out why - maybe the user hasn't been convinced enough through the onboarding, but i copied a popular app so i thought the onboarding would be fine anyway i have an update in review by apple to add a checkout abandon offer which should hopefully help a bit, as well as a small app redesign onboarding update hoping they approve that soon, but in the meantime it's time to try more ad variety

PRs opened by Fable 5 for small-medium features still get a decent amount of Bugbot comments for example vibe coding a small iOS app feature like a subscription discount notification, went through ~5 rounds of Bugbot comments Fable 5 is really good but it's just funny how this model can 1 shot an entire mobile app, yet it fumbles some smaller features 💀

tested a landing page redesign with Fable 5 and from my experience using Opus 4.8 for landing pages, Fable 5 wins easily prompt: "redesign the whole main landing page, be as creative as possible. dont need to keep any of the existing design besides the colour scheme"
