Thinking about the loss of the great Brent Carver. Never met him, but as an audience member I was awed by his spirit, his deep vulnerability, his intertwining of masculine and feminine and his huge open heart. As a young actor he showed me that it is possible. #RIPBrentCarver

A reflection to add to the conversation… In my experience, any journey of self awareness and growth, no matter how deeply uncomfortable, has always on the other end left me feeling more empowered, and not less.

So, unless I proclaim to have no courage or strength at all, or proclaim the fear of inevitable discomfort to be too much to handle, I see no excuse to not continue on a journey that will, in the end, benefit my own well being as much as it might for those of colour around me.
