Widespread anti-Israel sentiment worldwide. Pew Research Center’s Spring 2026 Global Attitudes Survey reports: “Views of Israel vary widely between the ideological left and right. In the U.S., 83% of liberals and 37% of conservatives have an unfavorable view of the country.”
Across 36 countries, a median of 67% of adults have an unfavorable view of Israel.

The Taoiseach in Budapest: lighthearted visit after Orban's fall
I welcomed the Prime Minister of Ireland, @MichealMartinTD, for bilateral talks in Budapest. History and our shared love of freedom connect the Hungarian and Irish peoples. I expressed my gratitude to Ireland for providing refuge to the many Hungarians who fled the country after the 1956 Revolution, and I was pleased to note that the Hungarian community remains an active part of Irish society today. We reviewed the priorities of the upcoming Irish EU Presidency, as well as the key issues that will shape the future of the European Union. Hungary supports strengthening competitiveness and preserving cohesion and the Common Agricultural Policy, and believes in European cooperation based on dialogue and compromise. I informed the Prime Minister about the agreement reached on the EU funds due to Hungary, as well as the progress achieved regarding the rights of the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia. I thank Micheál Martin for the constructive discussion and wish him every success with the Irish EU Presidency and in his future work. Long live Hungarian–Irish friendship!

I’d say this is shocking but it seems to be the majority view in our politics. FG and FF appear quite happy for this manufacturing to continue - which no doubt helps Russia in its war against Ukraine - yet consider Israeli dates a big issue that requires sanctions.
I asked a local councillor if the russian refinery here in Ireland should be sanctioned. He said yes, if it was supplying Israel. But Russia? No. This is Ireland’s sanctions hypocrisy in 90 seconds.

In 1936 there was no boycott: Ireland played Nazi Germany at Dalymount Park, Dublin, on Saturday 17 October 1936, ( Ireland won 5–2) attendance around 28,000–30,000.

Commemorative prayer in the Jewish cemetery for the Jews deported from Nemesvid, Hungary, to Auschwitz in May 1944, with the last local survivor, István Boskovits. His father, Dr István Boskovits, Nemesvid’s GP and a noted Hungarian surgeon, was beaten to death in Dachau.

Antisemitic poster on a pro-Palestinian march in Dublin
This grotesque banner was paraded through Dublin at a march this weekend. The sign, which appears to read “Stop feeding the monster”, seems to depict a horned devil consuming bank notes from America and the EU, with figures cowering beneath it. The ‘monster’ is emblazoned with the Star of David, the most recognisable emblem of Judaism, which sits on top of the devil figure’s head. To anyone who refuses to see the anti-Jewish hatred which these marches breed, open your eyes.

Memorable moment at the inaugural session of the Hungarian parliament: a Roma children's band was invited to perform the unofficial Roma anthem "Green forest, green hill". Some MPs got emotional. The 6 far right racist MPs left the hall.

Kate Ferguson has had enough of harassment dressed up as protest. “If that man had done that to me in any other street, that would be deemed harassment. Why, because he’s stood outside Westminster, is that not?” @KateFerguson4

The small Dublin Jewish community stands up against intimidation and erasure from Irish history.
This morning, our community came together in Herzog Park. Again. In the face of repeated attempts to intimidate and push us out of public space, to remove our history, and to ignore us, we chose to respond with calm, dignity, and presence. Over 100 people - community members, friends, and supporters, we stood together to say clearly: 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞.
