UPDATE: absolutely smashed this target lmao
Quick life update.
Losing $100k in a tomato memecoin earlier this year ended up being one of the better things to happen to me, even though it didn’t feel like it at the time.
Back in January I was still trading actively and making decent money, but honestly I knew being an onchain participant post-2025 was -EV. I’d grown a burner from $10k to $100k on memes around December, didn’t manage risk properly on that wallet, and got wiped. Shit happens, especially when it’s a burner you’re degen-ing with.
Main bags were untouched, but the wipeout still pushed me to actually change things up.
I decided to step back from active trading, keep DCAing BTC and HYPE with the mains, and use the time to build something else.
I started working on a few info offers, leaning on what I’d learned from my Web3 marketing days but applying it to pure Web2 this time.
The learning curve was real - funnels, VSLs, confirmation pages, back-end sales systems, Meta ads. A lot to figure out. But the systems are in place now and we’re doing around $30k months, on track for $100k in the next few months which is absolutely insane to think about.
The bigger takeaway has been realizing how much of crypto culture traps people into thinking trading is the only path. It’s a skill, sure, but knowing you can actually build something outside of it is freeing in a way that’s hard to describe.
You don’t HAVE to trade.
You GET to trade.
Planning to keep DCAing through the year, staying heads down on the business, and documenting more of it here. Also quietly excited for cheaper crypto prices later in the year
