It most likely was not, or very little suggest that at least. What’s more plausible is that there existed belief systems and traditions that were akin to it but different. Christianity if anything was probably more widespread even. I imagine a lot of syncretism as well.

Zoroastrianism is also the original faith of Kurds before Islamic Arabs forced Islam on them through massacres in the 7th century.
