We’re obsessed with the idea that poor people might take more than they need, but we rarely question why some wealthy people are never satisfied with what they already have.

False hope leads people to false goals and wasted time.

Too many people don't speak up because they don't want to "be rude". They stay polite and quiet. Remember that responding to someone’s invasion of your space, privacy, and comfort is not being rude. It is aligning their behavior to your expectations or interactions.

One of the oddest things is to be all in on someone/thing but they don’t give equal response…so you adjust your mind, emotions, and expectations to how they don’t have the same regard for you as you do for them… then they start giving reciprocity…..like….šŸ‘€šŸ¤”šŸ¤ØšŸ§šŸ˜•

Just because I don’t require a lot, doesn’t mean I deserve the bare minimum.

The worst part of a shifting relationship isn't that you aren't as engaged as you used to be....it's realizing that they might be okay with it.....or even prefer it.

Republicans who are rejecting Trump because they are not seeking reelection haven't found their spine. They are willing to admit the truth that they rejected in order to obtain power. Now that they are done, they embrace what Democrats have been saying. Republicanism is toxic.

People tend to burn down cities when they can’t burn down the system that oppresses them. I suggest we dismantle the system before folks start dismantling other things.

"I might be scared but I’m going to try." Words of wisdom spoken by my friend years ago. Fear is a feeling. Trying is a choice. Your lived reality will be an outcome of action or inaction. I encourage you to try....even if fear tries to hinder you from starting. #kdjLeadership

The reality of America now is that if you had cared when this was happening to Black people….. it wouldn’t be happening to everyone else now

Be careful about allowing people to be in a position because they are filling a void instead of fulfilling their purpose. That’s like putting cardboard over a river instead of a bridge. It’s ā€œcoveredā€ but it CANNOT do the job well and people will fall in the gap. #KDJLeadership

Because too many white people don't want non-white people to have it, too many rich people don't want poor people to have it, and too many white, poor people don't want themselves to have it because too many white, rich people told them only white, rich people deserve to have it.

You can’t opt out of every method one communication and be absent from informational sessions then feign innocence out of ignorance. No. You are held accountable and will have the consequence for the intentional action of your inaction.

You can want something from someone for so long that you emotionally burn out. Then, by the time they finally respond and become what you’ve been begging for or provide what you’ve communicated you needed….you are emotionally and mentally repelled, disconnected, and unwanting.

You don’t have to lower your standards. You just need to step into the realm of reality so you can have reasonable expectations. You wouldn’t receive ā€œless than you deserveā€. It would allow you to get an honest glimpse of what supply is available and what you should demand.
