The issues around hotels are not due to an unmanageable number of refugees, but to deliberate government decisions driven by A. hostility to migrants and B. austerity and privatisation. The Labour government solves nothing by pretending otherwise and pandering to the racists.
This government must change course. Help send a message for migrants' rights to Labour Party conference - submit this motion: labourfreemovement.org/motio…
The UK's biggest trade union @unisontheunion just voted to campaign to end anti-migrant "no recourse to public funds" rules that deny equal social security to 2.6 million people. Organise our unions to fight and turn over the Labour leadership's anti-migrant policies! #undc24
You can now read the GMB's new policy for migrants' rights here: labourfreemovement.org/gmb-v…
This is an opening to put words into action: from organising in workplaces and communities, to using GMB's Labour Party affiliation to fight against the government's anti-migrant policies.
GMB Congress voted today to campaign to end the Hostile Environment, scrap 'no recourse to public funds', and win safe routes and equal rights to work, social security education for asylum seekers. Let's see @GMB_union step up organising for migrants' rights uniting workers✊

And welcome to Labour's new "efficient" deportation agenda.
As the Labour leadership launches more assaults on migrant workers, we've joined this call demanding a stop to the attacks, paths to regularisation for undocumented people, and labour rights protections for all workers. We need working-class solidarity: build unions, not borders!
Join @NadiaWhittomeMP and our activists TONIGHT at 7:30 PM for an open organising meeting on Zoom.
We'll discuss how to stop Labour's assault on migrants and plan direct action.
