We need to abolish and work against health inequalities. People with disabilities, areas with prevalence diseases, and people facing barriers to access healthcare have the right to be treated as individuals. #RCNCongress25 #Healthinequalities

This is a choice made out of love for it. Having enough of this group will provide safety and confidence for the patients they look after. The government should listen and protect disability nurses to remain in post. #rcn25 #learningdisability #rcncongress25 #LDNurse

It's been a reflective moment with the debates in the last 3 days, and patient safety has been taken into consideration, and staff well beign to provide care safely. #RCN25 #patientsafety #socialcare #safestaffingsaveslife This was passed 👏

3rd day at #rcncongress2025. This was passed as our patients need to be safe accessing healthcare. This can be linked with corridor care but in an ambulance! Accountability and safety is key. #rcn25

Replying to @cisanim
Dr Lola Oni’s blog for #BHM2024 on Sickle Cell Disease. rcn.org.uk/news-and-events/B… Dr @LolaOni3 was my lecturer at @KingsNursing over 30yrs ago and was crucial to my development as a nurse leader. A passionate nursing leader who spent her career ensuring patients living with #SickleCellDisease (often a marginalised group of patients) have improved healthcare outcomes. Dr Oni was why I started my career in haematology at @kingshealth and am passionate about health equity and social justice. After the damning #CarrReview of the culture of @theRCN that was published in 2022, Dr Lola Oni and @cisanim were the 2 nurse leaders who supported me with putting forward the #EGM proposal that led to a Vote of No Confidence in the previous #RCNCouncil. And that is why I am supporting Dr Lola Oni for #RCNCouncil member for London. Dr Lola Oni will be the voice for every #RCNLondon nurse is heard at the table, because #EveryLondonNurseMatters. #VoteDrLolaOniforLondon

It has been an incredible honor and privilege to have the support of our wonderful nursing workforce as the RCN President, I worked hard for you and fought racism and misogyny to bring about positive change within our nursing workforce following that awful Carr Review. I am not finished yet! 🤗 Supported by Past President Denise Chaffeur and Dr Joan Myers here is why you should vote for me @DeniseChaffer @joan_myers

I am exhausted driving, stuck in standstill traffic for almost 2.5 hours from work, due to a van that caught fire in a major Blackwall tunnel in London. There is a huge travel chaos!! I hope I get home soon to be ready for another day tomorrow 😪

First week as MP for Fermanagh and South Tyrone finished and what a week! Started with meeting the SoS Hilary Benn, followed by meeting with the Prime Minister Kier Starmer, meetings with our MLA team in Stormont and today meeting our TDs in the Oireachtas. And of course a day in my constituency office in Clogher.
