Lagos Impact Hackathon ’25 is officially a wrap! 🎉 Three intense days of bold ideas, sleepless nights, collaboration, and purpose-driven innovation all coming together to prove one thing: when the right minds meet real problems, #impact is inevitable. From passionate innovators and creatives to dedicated mentors, jurors, partners, volunteers, and every supporter who believed in the vision, thank you for making this journey unforgettable. What we witnessed wasn’t just a hackathon; it was the birth of solutions built for impact, by bold minds committed to real change. This is not the end. It’s the beginning of what these ideas will become. We don’t pitch change. We </build> it. #LagosImpactHackathon #LIH2025 #TechForImpact

To create solutions that outlive demo days and slide decks, you need more than just code. Innovation doesn't become infrastructure by accident. It happens when you combine three distinct toolkits: 🛠️Technology skills to turn ideas into working systems 🧭Product sense to solve the right problems for users 💰Business acumen to make the impact scalable and sustainable As 2026 unfolds, move beyond isolated excellence. Strong technology without product insight creates unused tools. Great products without a solid business foundation fail to endure. The work ahead needs intentional development, sharpening what you know, confronting what you don’t, and building competence across all three toolkits. This is how impact becomes real. We don't pitch change. We </build> it. #LagosImpactHackathon #VentureBuilding #SDGs

The hackathon is over. But the work has only just begun. The innovation we witnessed this weekend proved one thing: The future of tech is in safe hands. Over those 48hours, I witnessed something incredible. I saw strangers become teammates. I saw "impossible" problems turn into working prototypes. I saw lines of code transform into solutions that could genuinely impact our community. To every participant who battled through the long, sleepless nights and the pressure, you are the future. You proved that innovation doesn’t start with applause. It starts with commitment. Winning a prize is great, but the resilience you showed this weekend is the real asset. The skills you sharpened and the connections you made are the things that will carry you forward. This moment is not a finish line. It’s a checkpoint. What you built here deserves continuity, refinement, and real-world testing. That’s where impact is earned. The hackathon is over, but the build has just begun. I can’t wait to see where these projects go next. We don’t just pitch change. We stay long enough to build it. #LagosImpactHackathon25

The @lagosimpacthack just concluded, and it was an incredible experience. My team and I placed 7th out of about 45 teams and won a $300 prize 🎉. We built an edtech platform called ZuzuPlay, focused on promoting foundational learning through gamified education. Beyond the outcome, the experience really expanded my thinking around what’s possible. I met so many brilliant people, had meaningful conversations, and learned a lot along the way. I’m grateful for the experience and already looking forward to the next one.
