In Latin America, the film pulled in $29M this weekend alone, with strong numbers from Mexico ($9.8M), Brazil ($4.4M), Peru ($2.8M), Argentina ($2.2M), and Chile ($2.2M). In Spain, it has reached a total of €2.5M, with just a 27% drop this weekend.
Domestically, in the US, the film opened to a massive $70M weekend, marking the biggest opening for an anime film ever and more than doubling Pokémon: The First Movie’s debut.
