My advice:
Don’t let yourself get entangled in a mess you’re not ready for.
Choose very carefully priests you decide to trust.
When you see a boundary being crossed, cut yourself off from the contact immediately. Don’t let yourself interpret it as “fatherly care”. It’s not.

Because I got extremely wronged by a priest in my parish.
I’m now trying to rebuild my trust in church from scratch. That’s how bad what happened was.

Nothing physical happened. But the emotional damage I suffered is imminent.
I should’ve seen the signs. Should’ve realised the moment pastoral contact between us escalated into something more, from his side.
Yet I let myself entangled in it all. Don’t repeat my mistakes.

The Office for the Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff has dismissed Monsignor Marco Agostini.
The priest from Verona will no longer stand alongside the Holy Father during the celebrations he presides over. The decision was taken following the publication of a video in which Agostini, referring to the Roman Curia and the College of Cardinals, uses the term “culattoni” (faggots).
