Hi
@VitalikButerin
I just read the article and I must commend you for being forward-thinking and futuristic.
Yes, permanent hubs are important and good and I’m adding my piece as the Hub Manager for
@ayahq_ Builders Hub, Accra.
For the past two years, the hub has not just been a home for the web3 ecosystem globally but a safe space for builders, founders, community members and newbies alike to come together, live, explore, share their experiences and build the future , all from the Hub.
A year ago, we opened another in Kilifi, Kenya to extend the success of permanent residencies and Special Innovation Econonic Zones in East Africa.
I can go on to mention over 30 startups that have benefited from this infrastructure…..or the various blockchains that has used the Hub for events, technical workshops and meet-ups.
@LiskHQ as our major partner,
@Celo workshops,
@base batches and Buildathons,
@StellarOrg ,
@Cardano_CF @ICPHUBS and many more whose builders have benefited from this.
We have actively run these Builder Hubs/permanent residencies for 2 years and the quality of collaborations are insane. All starting with intentional conversations at the residency, a meetup or event, then to finding synergies, forming teams or employing a skilled builder to join these startups/ hackathon teams.
Our pop-up cities like
#MuAccra , hosted with
@themu_xyz and
@zuAfrique by
@ayahq_ are a testament of this template you wrote about.
Permanent hubs are important and good.
