My beloved Arsenal-supporting dad sadly died in the early hours. He fought bravely after breaking his hip & getting pneumonia before Christmas. Having witnessed the kindness and care shown by the NHS I’d like to thank all the nurses & doctors for their professionalism. RIP Dad 💔

The thing with old uni mates is that you can go years without seeing each other but then you the moment you do catch up it’s like you’ve never been away. Brilliant to catch up with old pals here in Seattle 🍺❤️

Replying to @laythy29
LMAO you are basically a certified Canadian at this point. The 12 junior chickens (instead of 6 McChickens 😂😂) is quintessential Canadian behavior. I legit went to McDonald's after the pub, too. 😂

My mate showed me his picture of our McDonalds order placed at 308am this Saturday morning. For some reason I ordered $83 worth of McDonalds for two people including for some unfathomable reason 12 junior chicken burgers…I blame the tequila drinking with Canadian Arsenal fans last night…

The essence of the World Cup these days is meeting good people. Made it through customs here at Toronto airport heading to Seattle over the border and had a few beers to celebrate. Met Blair from Philadelphia who was here in Toronto for their games vs the Blue Jays and Edgar from Bosnia who was at the Canada game yesterday. Blair has kindly given me his bobble head of pitcher Dylan Cease after I said I enjoy watching baseball but don’t have a clue about it. USA here we come

Had an absolutely wonderful week here in Canada. Met so many good people who were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. Now here at Toronto’s Pearson Airport to fly to Seattle in the US. Wish me luck…if you haven’t heard from me in 24 hours send a search party and some Tim Horton’s donuts

A quick stop at the local garage. Mind blowing how expensive petrol is in the UK. We’re getting royally fleeced left, right and centre. This gas station charges 1.67 Canadian dollars for a litre of petrol. Which equates to 89 pence. Eighty nine pence. Seriously

A massive thank you to my wonderful new Canadian Arsenal friend John Butcher who runs the Durham Region Arsenal Supporters Club here in Oshawa, Ontario an hour from Toronto. I am absolutely honoured and privileged for John to have kindly given me their Arsenal flag. I will treasure it. I’m so humbled. A heartfelt thank you. Wishing John and the whole Gooner group at Hardy John’s all the best. And when you come to the Emirates one day I’ll make sure you have the time of your lives. North London Forever. I think I’m getting strangely obsessed with Tim Hortons’. Here’s my Supreme Stack burger here at Toronto’s Union Station. Instead of the usual beef patty burger, it has layers of thinly-sliced steak, double-smoked bacon, caramelized onions, not to mention three cheeses: cheddar, mozzarella and Monterey Jack. With a creamy peppercorn sauce served on a toasted potato bun
