I’ve so regretted leaving behind my @denbypottery mug - gifted to me more than 30yrs ago, my cuppa was always👌in it & it had no chips, scratches or discolouration despite its age. Delighted to find replacements here but sad this 217yr old 🇬🇧 icon is soon to be no more! 😢

82 years ago this morning, young men of Britain, USA & Canada were storming the beaches of Normandy. Thousands of them had trained on Gower beaches. Their bravery inspired my book. Here’s the final film of my seven this week, counting down to today’s 82nd anniversary of D-Day.

Went to the official opening of East Traders Hall on Saturday - lots of businesses have opened including this florist who said she’s giving it a trial for a month. I do hope she’ll be well supported and take up a permanent slot! 🙏 #Canberra

This evening’s meal went down really well - Dory served with sautéed greens and Greek Lemon & Oregano potatoes (now forever known as Nick’s potatoes - thanks for the recipe @Nickjames40Nick 👌). A drop of local Riesling by @NickOLearyWine was a great match too! #canberra
