A week ago, I left my product job at Roblox to bet on myself. This wasn’t an easy decision. After over a decade in product, walking away from a great job felt like giving up a core part of my identity. I’m grateful for my 3 years at Roblox and have many fond memories shipping products with my talented team of engineers, designers, and PMs. Most of all, I loved building with our creator community and watching their eyes light up as we put our products in their hands. At the same time, I was spending nights and weekends writing about AI, interviewing AI builders, and learning to build with agents myself. Made some more changes for my Roblox CCU tracker. I like the design a lot more, needs some work though. It's almost production ready, for Android 😅

I'm all for the 18 DevEx increase, but the R15 strict requirement has to be the dumbest initiative I've ever seen. The wording is so obscure that I'm not even sure if we're allowed to use custom rigs. I was going to use custom rigs in my new project, but now I don't know.

One of the most painstaking yet rewarding things about our game is our special box art. We had to trace models by hand using screenshot references. I recently made a little program that makes it 100x easier, and now I can import, capture, and export as an svg!! so happy.

Saying this as non-offensively as possible bcz I have many YouTuber friends, but you can’t have it both ways. You either want the platform to be safe for kids, or you don’t, I don’t see any other way around it. Good to see they are locking it down more. Parents helpless I guess.

I made a cool plugin that converts studslop parts into single-use meshes! I do this mostly for streaming performance reasons, and this makes the process WAY faster.

one of the fascinating things about the Roblox development scene is how much information is openly shared for free. so many tips, tricks, advice, and open source material is out there for ANYONE to access, and the community is so open to sharing. it's definitely undervalued!
