As we begin the summer, coaches please don't forget that the double first base is mandatory for the 2027 season. This is an UIL state adoption that supersedes the NFHS rule book. Also make sure soon if you are hosting a tournament on city, county, private, etc. facilities, that they also have the double first base. I know we are already making sure that all of the Bryan/College Station area complexes that we use for the @leadoffclassic have them ready. UIL sent this out to all coaches before the season and will post reminders on the website soon.

That's 3 state championships today from teams in our 2026 tourney. @LakeCreek_SB defeated White Settlement Brewer 6-5 in the 5A-D2 championship in a very close and exciting game. Congratulations to Coach Candyce Carter and the Lions on an awesome season.
