You can generally understand why Prince Siddartha felt so repulsed by all this that he gave everything up to sit under a Bodhi tree.

The thing is, the ban doesn't affect adults. So why are adults getting so angry about children being banned from something that any half-decent adult knows is bad for them? Every single adult getting mad about this on Twitter is proof that they themselves aren't affected by it!

I'm pretty sure the US is the only western country where a bunch of seniors can be at a protest and their cause isn't either extremely stupid or evil
Americans be like "what can we doooo, WE ARE PROTESTING" The protesting:

They are not trying to “give children their childhood back,” that is once again exploiting the frame jonathan haidt uses to smuggle his reactionary anti-secularization frame into college education liberal households. What they want is to stamp out left views and censor criticism.

The under-16s social media ban will inevitably foster a generation of incurious morons. Revolutionary politics and autodidacticism will become a strange quirk of a minority born between the late-90s and mid-10s. It has to be opposed at all costs.

I know “Haha british food bad” is cope from a nation with pretty objectively unhealthy foodways but every time I see british people trying to fight back on here it’s like they have a fundamental misunderstanding of how food works

Homeowners are just the worst
Homeowners in Bellevue are raising concerns about noise from Sound Transit’s new 2 Line light rail trains operating on the elevated span between Mercer Island and Bellevue. Residents claim train noise has exceeded local standards and is disrupting nearby neighborhoods. A letter sent to Sound Transit alleges some trains have produced noise levels more than three times higher than surrounding vehicle traffic and above 80 decibels. Sound Transit confirmed it received the homeowners’ letter but said it could not comment because of potential legal issues and ongoing litigation concerns.
