#LeaderCLLD enthusiasts are gathered in Tullamore today for the third CAP Network Ireland 2023-2027 LEADER Capacity Building Workshop.

@DeptRCDG, opened the event with an update on the 2023-2027 LEADER programme at national level.
๐ The next order of business was to delve into the opportunities within the 2023-2027 LEADER programme to address Climate Action.
Oliver Wynne presented an overview of climate actions being implemented by
@leitrimcoco, including exciting plans for a Wetlands Ecology Park in Carrick-on-Shannon to help mitigate flooding events, amongst many other initiatives.
John Toland,
@Breffni_Int Cavan County Local Development, introduced the Climate Change Training Initiative, which has engaged a wide range of stakeholders in the county.
Siobhan Normoyle, @ClareLDC, introduced the Lahinch Seaworld Renewable Energy Project, a bold initiative that transitioned from heavy oil use and high energy costs to a ground-source heat pump and solar panels, among other measures, resulting in a 220tn reduction in carbon emissions.
