Thank you, Chancellor Oakley! We worked hard for that title, but giving back to our state and community makes the work worthwhile! @brocansky @DoctoraMPC @lauriescolari @lisle_kristy @AliceInEduland
This piece is so absurd it doesn’t deserve any airtime. However, it does give me a chance to celebrate the remarkable women who are leaders in higher ed & have worked hard to earn the honor of the title, Dr. I am grateful for their leadership wsj.com/articles/is-there-a-…

Hey Alex Jones, et al, a 'globalist' recognizes that the health and stability of the US is affected by the entire world. If 2020 taught us anything, didn't it teach us that we have to know and understand these interconnections? #globalist

Jerk #JosephEpstein calls Jill Biden "kiddo" in #WSJ op ed saying she drop the "Dr" Thanking @DrBiden for representing the many women who worked for years on their PhDs and now teach at community colleges. From one Dr to another, proud and excited you are our first lady-elect.

I don't find that path worthwhile. I would like to reject the construction of any single racialized group of kindergartners being anywhere on a scale of violent and/or disruptive. Children are children. And the race of the VP does not matter--the system is racially biased
Replying to @OnlineFoothill
Suggestion would be to define behaviors to include graded scale of violence, disruptions, or other cause then cross compare against discipline issued vs race, also include races of VPs who typically deal w/discipline.

Our students are not "blank slates." This is the educational culture shaping young black men entering our community colleges. What are we going to do about it?
When institutionalized racism begins in kindergarten, we need conscious, robust, and effective measures to counter the accumulated effects. Read this report to better understand systemic racism in education: cceal.org/blackmindsmatter/

What a loss. How can 2020 be any more cruel? Democracy is a delicate balance that can only be maintained when we love one another, and our ship is tilting, tilting.

We need unprecedented action to stop climate change. Hurricanes and fires demonstrate the need. Racial and environmental justice should be at the top of our list in November cnn.it/2KRl4JX

Friends, family, colleagues. We know this has been a tough year, and Half Moon Bay is a lovely retreat, but please stay home today. Keep HWY 92 & 1 clear for our emergency services...
22 Aug 2020
As a reminder, Half Moon Bay beaches are closed. We need everyone’s help to keep our roads clear and accessible for evacuees and emergency personnel due to the CZU Lightning Complex Fire. Please help us in spreading this message by sharing on your social media channels.

Racist and Sexist microaggressions have a lasting impact. A civil society recognizes that some things should not be uttered. We all need to take this seriously, and should hold our elected officials to the highest bar. Thank you, AOC
