As far as "illegals" vs. "American citizens" I reject that it is a zero-sum game. I also reject the notion that a rational argument means you cannot concurrently argue for strong borders.
But if the low functioning MAGA folks really wanted to play the game, CATO institute found 674 per 100,000 inmates are undocumented immigrants.
Let's take a different sample size of 1,270 people that were convicted on January 6. Of them, 33-97 were arrested for crimes committed after the Jan 6 attack. (That is 2,598-7,638 per 100,000.) Of them, at least 14 individuals involved in the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot have been arrested or charged with sex crimes or offenses related to child sexual abuse material. (1,102 per 100,000).
Assuming J6ers are even remotely representative of the MAGA movement (they were representative enough to earn a blanket pardon), that would make a migrant day laborer in a Home Depot parking lot statistically safer to encounter than someone in the same parking lot rocking a "Let's Go Brandon" sticker on their 2006 Dodge dually.
