A nurse in Kitimat, home to the LNG Canada terminal, requested city council to look at the cumulative health impacts of LNG to learn more about local impacts
The council said no - blatantly putting the interests of foreign multinationals over the health of its own residents
A motion seconded by town councillor and chair of the Kitimat Airshed Group calling for a cumulative health impact assessment on BC's gas industry was not supported by the majority of Kitimat town council.
