Well got to NYC , held up in immigration for 4 hours with visa complications. Train to Penn station to walk out on 9th ave to what can be described as a riot cops everywhere. Walked to 24th st with chopper above and sirens blaring. Welcome to the USA
There should never be a commercial break during a soccer game outside of halftime. Even if there’s a hydration break, the game should stay live. So clear that the addition of these breaks are financially motivated.

La avaricia de la FIFA es demencial.
Football is taking its popularity for granted, and it will deserve everything it gets when older fans move on, and younger fans have nothing to fall in love with. The product has never been worse than this, and it’s largely on purpose.

Guadalajara's stadium is far from empty but seeing too many empty seats on TV. So much for @FIFAcom claiming to have "sold-out" games. This will be the first of many games.
Half-filled stadiums with weak atmospheres.
Looks like a fair number of empty seats in Guadalajara, despite there being more demand for tickets than ever before "by a factor of 10 or more" according to Gianni Infantino yesterday
The ticket prices in the World Cup 2022 were as low as $20 for the group stage matches and the public transport plus the parking in Qatar was for free.
In WC 2026, the cheapest ticket for group stages game are $400 and the New York public transport costs $125 plus the parking at the stadium is $225.
What a disaster.
Wide swaths of empty seats at a World Cup, especially that close to the pitch, is unheard-of. Greedy criminals at FIFA getting what it deserves for bastardizing the field and price gouging with in-game commercials. What a blight
