Yesterday was #InternationalNursesDay and today we’re taking a look at the Royal Infirmary of #Edinburgh's collection of press cuttings from 1960s to understand the conversation around nursing uniforms at the time.

According to another female nurse the new uniform looks “ghastly” and “the image of the nurse somehow collapses with this uniform”.
The proposed new uniform was created in an effort to introduce a standard national nursing uniform throughout Britain.
