"Brexit was sold as a solution to border control, yet evidence now suggests it's helping drive the small boats crisis.
"With the France deal falling short, will the government admit Brexit is a major factor and pursue a comprehensive EU asylum agreement?"
@MPMWilko
Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal, cheered on by Nigel Farage, has been a disaster for Britain.
It's time to rebuild our relationship with Europe to grow the economy, tackle the cost of living and properly fund our defence.
🤫 Shhh... there's a major scandal in British politics.
Under our voting system, politicians can get elected with just a fraction of the vote, meaning millions of votes don't count.
That's why @LisaSmartMP is fighting for fair votes where every vote matters.
"Too many people with IBD face years of delays for diagnosis and a postcode lottery for care. It's time to deliver consistent, high-quality support."
@TomGordonLD
If FIFA won't stand up for fans, we will.
Anna has the score on our plans for an international fan's charter to restrict ticket profiteering and give football back to the people.
Liberal Democrats have a plan to cut your bills, and make the big energy networks pay for it with their record windfall profits.
@LibDemDaisy has the details ⬇️
Great news today as we have secured funding for an extension of St Helier's A & E.
The project will cost nearly £60 million and will go a long way to ending corridor care.
I am going to keep the pressure on to make sure that we see spades in the ground as quickly as possible, and will keep people updated every step of the way.
It couldn't be clearer.
Vote Conservative: Get Farage
ALT Quote from the spectator:
Badenoch says the Tories could win and claims there is a ‘high chance’ she will become prime minister. But asked explicitly whether she would be prepared to put Farage into No. 10 if he fell short of a majority, she made it clear the answer is yes: ‘This country cannot have another left-wing government.'
This is a wake-up call for Starmer and Burnham.
Stop repeating the mistakes of the Conservatives and get serious about funding our armed forces properly.
We cannot afford years more political chaos while our national security is put at risk.
ALT JOHN HEALEY
RESIGNS AS
DEFENCE SECRETARY:
"Since then, you have been unable, and the Treasury has been unwilling, to commit the resources that the nation needs to defend the country at this time of rising threats."
Liberal Democrats will always stand up for carers.
ALT Our plan to back unpaid carers:
1. Guaranteed respite breaks for all carers
2. A carer support service in every hospital
3. Increase carers allowance and support kinship carers
4. A Young Carer Pupil Premium to help carers at school
Wes Streeting said it himself - we need actions and not just words. Yet 18 months later there's still no data. It's just not good enough - I'm not sure 'shortly' really cuts it anymore. We need the data, and a plan to end the national disgrace of corridor care.
No one should have to worry if they can keep the lights on or power essential medical equipment.
Our Essential Energy Guarantee would give every household discounted energy. Because energy is not a luxury, it is essential.
@libdemdaisy
Liberal Democrats have put forward several proposals to keep our children safe online.
We shouldn't have had to wait until the Prime Minister is worried about his job to see action.
@munirawilson
I am horrified by the disorder and racist violence in Belfast last night.
Far too often now, we see extremists exploiting people’s anger and grief to spread hatred and violence – with the help of divisive algorithms on social media.
This has to stop.
