The Spurs know how to TAKE the lead, they just don't know how to HOLD the lead. And that's really the most important part of the lead: the holding

One of the fun aspects of working in education, especially in the AI era is that, similar to coding but unlike most disciplines, ideas are often verifiable (because education is premised on testing) This newsletter is a great source for those ideas and how well they verify

Many of the problems with parenting and education derive from a category error: Assuming that kids are a different species that should respond differently to stimuli than adults would Adults just get shit done with AI without understand the “how”. Obviously kids do the same.
This cannot be emphasised enough. Kids at Alpha are strictly NOT being taught by chatbots. However, behind the scenes, AI is helping to shape the design of curriculum, instruction and learning in incredibly powerful ways that I never thought possible.

In a similar vein, if you as a parent are constantly anxious as a result of flitting back and forth between reality and toxic flotsam on your phone, why would you have different expectations for your kid?
