This is Step 1: Clean Air Matters. And you can clear the air that you breathe.
An #SFU-led project is helping seniors and those at-risk of lung disease create 500 DIY-air filters to reduce exposure to dangerous #wildfire smoke. @pippsbc @sfu_fhs ow.ly/jkeW50RYO6c

This week marks one year since I released Unbroken, a book that outlines how Canada executed a g3nocid3 in this country and the particular violence it inflicted against Indigenous women and girls. We won't stay silent about g3nocid3 here or in other Indigenous territories. 🍉

For the first time since Ontario became a province, Sol Mamakwa @solmamakwa, MPP of Kiiwetinoong, addressed the Government of Ontario, a signatory to Treaty 9, in his language Anishininiimowin. Sol is an Indian Residential School Survivor. He used to be punished for speaking his language, for being himself. Today, he spoke Anishininiimowin in a packed House, witnessed by First Nations leaders, family, and, most importantly, his Mom, Kezia Mamakwa. It is her birthday today. Mino-dibishkam, Kezia. Your son is moving hearts and minds. (Photo by @NANComms)
