This week on LIFEJACKET, we welcome @embrace for episode 2 of The Residency.
We travelled to Halifax to sit down with the Danny and Richard, for a deeply honest and open conversation about their three-decade career. Plus, the boys treated us to 3 exclusive live performances, tracking two songs from their new album Avalanche alongside a massive classic from Out of Nothing.

For over three decades @embrace have been a huge part of the British music scene selling over two million albums worldwide.
As soon as I heard Embrace I knew they were my band. If you love Embrace then you will know what I mean. Their debut album The Good Will Out is one of my favourite records. I connected so closely with their songs. I’ve always wanted to sit and chat with the McNamara brothers Danny and Richard about their music and to see if they know how much it means to people like me. They do.
When I asked if they would like to record an episode of The Residency I thought I may get a polite thanks but no thanks. I’ll admit I was a little giddy when they accepted the invitation.
So off we went to Halifax. The boys recorded 3 live tracks, two from their brilliant new album Avalanche and a classic from their best-selling album ‘Out of Nothing’ We then sat down and had a conversation that was so open and honest, heart breaking but also hugely life affirming.
So, each day this week Embrace will be in residence on LIFEJACKET. For seven days we will be dropping exclusive content and performances from the day, as well as the whole interview in an hour long special on Thursday. We will also be dropping the full live versions of all 3 tracks on the channel from Thursday onwards.

Avalanche by Embrace is out now on Cooking Vinyl. Embrace will celebrate their 30th anniversary with a run of UK headline tour dates in November.

For Episode 10 of #TheRail, Lifejacket was invited down to Palace HQ at Manor Place to meet with the man behind it all, Palace Co-Founder Gareth Skewis. Since starting the brand back in 2009, Gareth has helped steer Palace into a global powerhouse, and this week he brings an incredible selection of gear to the studio. Including iconic pieces and legendary collaborations with the likes of Arc'teryx, C.P. Company, and Polo Ralph Lauren.
