ALT It was about an hour from sunset... heading down the backside of the Alpine Loop in the Wasatch mountain range of Utah I noticed that I was soon engulfed in the shadow of Mr Timpanogos himself... and so I turned around and headed back from whence I came crossing into the shadow line and up into the sun again... passing this wonderful groove of aspens as the late light spilled into the forest. It was a moment I liked and tried to capture for about an hour or so till the sun silently slipped below the ledge and the forest grew dark, cold and quiet. I have several sun flares as I inched my camera ever so slightly left to right for the desired effect,,, and for options of course. This was the first one I grabbed today.
