100% consensus - it’s a new regime. Rates will never go back down, inflation will stay above 4%. I give that 30% likelihood. The other 70% is not back to where the US was, but “worse”. We’re on the European path, that followed the Japan path. Neg rates by 2028 very possible.

zero chance iran agrees to reopening the strait without significant iranian assets being unfrozen. not easy to sell that, even for trump.

I’m confused by the logic here. If the jailbreak is serious enough to justify export controls, why is Fable still safe enough for U.S. nationals to access? Either the model is unsafe because the guardrails can fail, or it is safe enough to remain deployed. The current position seems to argue both.

The Trump admin continues to treat AI like a screwdriver that is also enriched uranium: That is, apparently advanced AI is such a normal technology that it’s crazy to limit chip exports to China but also such an abnormal technology that we can’t let British employees of NYC banks access it

Oh whoa, this Anthropic news is insane. The Commerce Department is placing both Mythos 5 and Fable 5 under the guise of US export controls, blocking access outside the US and foreign persons in the US.

Charlie McElligott: “I have to pound the table on this potential supply-demand paradigm shift in stocks away from what had been the virtuous 15-year ‘de-equitization’ period where the float was shrunk and vol suppressed as a massive tailwind for stocks." Charlie sees a "new world order" with AI capex "endangering the flow of buybacks" and a potential "‘supply overload’ issue, not just via the sheer size of the tectonic AI-linked IPO calendar, but the hyper-scalers’ own supply." “[While] acknowledging that to make this even quasi apples-to-apples” you’d need to adjust for float and/or market-cap, the point is the contrast from long periods of “no issuance at all” to the “pivot into supply,” Charlie wrote

The caveat to this, and don’t get me wrong I’m on the side of the energy guys, but we’ve been looking for the next huge spike and oil because of lack of supplies, for four weeks, and that isn’t happening either
3/1: "four to five weeks" 3/9: "very soon" 3/16: "won't be long" 3/23: "very good and productive conversations" 3/26: talks to end the war are “going very well" 3/29: "I think we'll make a deal with them, pretty sure" 4/1: “very shortly” 4/6: "They’ve made a proposal, and it’s a significant proposal." 4/8: ""A big day for World Peace!" 5/18: "we’ve had very big discussions with Iran" 5/23: "will be announced shortly." 6/1: "rapid pace" 6/11: "next few days"

In an illiquidity crisis, the Fed’s choices narrow very quickly. You can debate inflation and labor markets all day, but when private credit, nonbank leverage, and Treasury market stress collide, the incentive to print becomes much harder to avoid. Discussed with Danielle DiMartino Booth, @DiMartinoBooth, on U Got Options: From the Cboe Floor. Link Below 👇

A lot of people blame Fox for leaving OG to double team Brunson, leaving OG open to rush the basket for the tip in. His greater sin is rushing over for the double team with his hands down. If his hands had been up, he might even have blocked the shot.
Mike Breen: "The tip––it's good. It's good! IT'S GOOD! With 1.2 remaining, Knicks take the lead!" Tyler Murray: "He put it in! Anunoby put it in! The Knicks take the lead!" Spanish: "Anoonoby! OG! OG! OG Anunoby!" French: "OH OOH OOOOH OG ANUNOBEEE!"

SO . . . there was a LOT of talk about Gold at the beginning of the year (It's the best asset , look at the returns versus stocks, blah, blah blah) WELL - now it's time for you folks to start banging your drums again - as you have all gotten VERY quiet. And the timing looks pretty good to me, looking out over the next 3-5 years (not 3-5 days) !!! @BobEUnlimited @LynAldenContact #gold #silver

I know it’s crazy, but I’m getting pretty close to going 50 to 100% Long $GLD and completely out of stocks
The result of 1) ever-rising public debt and 2) no longer structurally decreasing interest rates to offset it is: 3) the deficits are going to be *lit* for the foreseeable future.

So you can use the 5th/6th/7th best LLMs, getting 80-85% of the top guys' performance, but at an 85-95% discount in price? You know what we call that? A commodity... exactly what happened with LCD TVs, OLEDs, solar panels, electric cars, phones, etc good luck with your AI IPOs!

I dare you to annualize this and sell gold.
US deficit of $293B FOR JUST THE MONTH OF MAY. Almost $10B/day. Absolute disaster from which we will never recover. Complain all you want about gold being down from its January highs but the short term doesn't matter unless you're using the weakness to add to your stack.

“ he’s worse than any human being that’s ever run for Office. But I don’t know him so I don’t wanna say anything bad about him.” There you are ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States
