Update.. A few weeks ago, I found out that my insurance coverage had been dropped without my knowledge. Since then, trying to navigate Get Covered Illinois has been a fucking nightmare🤬
To make matters worse, all of the immunotherapy treatments my oncologist submitted for approval have been denied and now have to be resubmitted. The insurance company is telling me I may have to wait until open enrollment in November, reality is that cancer doesn’t wait until November. Medical bills don’t stop. Rent is still due. Car payments still have to be made. Life keeps moving, regardless of what you’re facing.
As if that wasn’t enough, a few days ago I discovered a mass on Charlotte’s liver while I had her with me at work. She has already spent the past year battling kidney and liver issues, and anyone who knows me knows she is my entire world.
Right now, it feels like I’m being hit from every direction, but I’m continuing to fight and take things one day at a time.
As always, I am eternally grateful for every message, prayer, donation, share, and act of kindness. Your support has carried me through some of the hardest moments of my life, and I cannot thank you enough
