THREAD: Today I went to the public library for the first time in a long time. A woman came up to me and asked me to help her with the computer so she could apply for a custodial job. She had gone to the organization she wanted to work at, and was told to apply online.

I deeply honestly think we should consider hiring Swifties as threat intel analysts, because those girls’ eye for Easter eggs and patterns and hypotheses???! If we unleashed them on APTs / cybercrime ops, whole swathes of infrastructure would be TOAST in two days. 🤷♀️

The other reason why, is the best mitigation is to shine sunlight on the adversary. Now that people know what this looks like, hopefully it will help others to be more informed about where information is coming from. In the short term, we have to firefight against disinformation. In the long term, we have to teach people how it works so they can become more resilient.
