Google Flow Music is ridiculously fun. Yesterday I wrote lyrics. Today I have a full-blown music video with instruments and vocals. #AI #music #creativity #googleflow

Genuinely impressed not just by the Omni technology, but everyone's prompting.

If you are supporting or even interacting with someone has dementia, this book is worth a read. It does a nice job of balancing dignity with practicality. #dementia

I try to follow the discussions around solicitor-client privilege and AI within Canada and abroad. The range of opinions is fascinating. I've chosen to be conservative given that I deal with sensitive health information.

No serious uk law firm is going to run Claude for legal plugins over client documents. Privilege exposed day one, no audit trail, no idea what the AI touched. The regulator doesn't ask "is the model clever." they ask "can you prove what it did with the client docs." So I've been building the answer. Workspace, not just chatbot. Full audit trail by default. Documents, chronology, drafting, research. All inside one matter. Nothing leaks. Fully open source. UK only. Aiming to ship by Friday. Allows firms using it the ability to plug in claude skills as auditable modules. Brb. Beta testers welcome.

I have found it is still possible to use agents, skills and other novel AI features without giving access to client information. I will also admit I am getting LESS out of AI than I would like to because of my decision to remain conservative (for now). #AIforlawyers

1/4 Many lawyers are curious about or only lightly about AI. Many are also deeply uncomfortable with it. Questions about confidentiality, reliability, and professional responsibility matter, especially in legal practice. That’s exactly why I’m teaching a workshop on May 22.

3/4 We will NOT be uploading client files into AI tools. Instead, we’ll cover: • choosing appropriate tools • free vs paid platforms • practical use cases • where lawyers should be cautious • where client info can be shared confidently & conservatively

4/4 The goal is simple: Help lawyers get more out of this technology carefully, responsibly and confidently. #AIforlawyers

And the beat goes on! As reported today, May 18, 2026, in an Artificial Lawyer (AL) post. From the AL post: "OpenAI is planning to launch a legal AI offering, joining Anthropic and Microsoft in the strategy of providing legal-specific tools for lawyers. Sources told Artificial Lawyer that the plan involves hires from the legal tech world and could be branded as ‘Codex for Legal’. "In terms of how this will look, it’s understood that the current thinking is to have a range of ‘Codex for…..’ offerings all focused on major business verticals, e.g. sales and finance, of which one will be for legal, hence: Codex for Legal. Anthropic initially made the same type of move earlier this year, with a range of enterprise plugins, of which one was for legal." If you’re a lawyer, Claude for Legal is probably all over your feed this week. But before we get swept up in the hype, I think there are a few questions worth asking:
1
51
2. Is your practice area one of the areas these legal-specific plugins are likely to serve well? It's great that Claude has plugins for specific practice areas such as corporate. I suspect these plug-ins will be far less useful for those of us in hyper-specialized areas of law.

3. Will you have FOMO when a competitor introduces something similar? Will you be tempted to jump ship if your AI of choice (ChatGPT, Gemini or Microsoft Copilot) comes out with something similar? Or are you ready to commit and go all in with Claude? #AI #ClaudeforLegal

What makes this CDE workshop different is that it is not a typical presentation. You will be setting up your accounts live so that you don't have to implement anything later! #lawyers #AI

I can't overstate how badly we need more long-term care homes/beds in Ontario. It is a crisis I see daily and the ripple effects across the health sector and beyond are profound. #LTC #onpoli
