#Connection #Relationship #Rapport is the cornerstone of providing #Mentalhealth and #SEL to all students. Hard to do with ratios like this. Arizona kids are falling through the cracks.

We cannot stress it enough for #adminstrators to work with your #SchoolCounselors to come up with the best way possible to support your students. Virtual counseling may not be what families want right now nor what counselors are comfortable providing due to confidentiality.

Resources to share with students: Teen LifeLine 602-248-8336. Texting open 12-9pm on weekdays and 3-9pm on weekends. Peer counselors available 3-9pm everyday.

Unless there is cohesion between #administrators and #SchoolCounselors, data means nothing. The data needs to mean something to both in order for real student achievement to happen. Both must be on the same page and moving in the same direction. @Arizona_ASA

In order for #SchoolCounselors to thrive, we need 3 things; proper ROLE, RESPECTABLE compensation (301, pay for performance, etc) and manageable RATIOS. Oh and it’s good for kids, too!
