Most game trailers are okay-ish, but every so often one comes along that's downright perfect. Like this one. The casting, the acting, the music, the slow buildup to realizing you're actually watching the villain's origin story, THE REVEAL! Beautiful. I can't wait for Fable.

Gears E-Day being (timed) exlusive won't do much in the short term, but at least it sends a signal to the community that there's still hope, while keeping everyone else on their toes. I like it! The more competition, even as inconsequential as it is, the better. Excited for Xbox!

I was laid off last week.

I've worked in indie game PR, produced for Last Stand Media, managed platform submissions at Lillymo, ran a gaming press outlet, and most recently was a marketing and project manager at IIO where I was part of a team that published 75 games in 18 months and spent a lot of time building tools and workflows to make the operation run better.

The PR for Gothic Remake is annoyingly lacking. An embargo on release day, virtually no marketing, (unverified) rumors of 30FPS on consoles, etc... Come on! This is your one shot at getting people to try and all time classic. I'm still foolishly hoping for the best, but man.

That was kinda.... boring? All these games looked overly familiar and formulaic. I want to get excited for them, but I'm not really. No doubt they'll all score high and will be okay to play, but if you want something new and exciting, this really is the generation of third party.
