Oh so you forced her to be born, and then let her die. And somehow convinced yourself you're the hero in this story?
Our daughter died at 3 months old in February from Trisomy 18 - similar to Downs Syndrome (T21), just lower life expectancy.
We are staunchly pro life. You cannot use force against people - only in self defense or another just cause (to right a wrong - like the Cruasades!). We cared for our daughter and gave her the best love and medicine.
She still died.
But we were ready to do what's best for her no matter what.
Our priest advised that extraordinary medical intervention is never required to keep a human alive. We aren't obligated to get her 5 surgeries to keep her alive another 3-6 months.
If you're willing to proactively kill innocents, you become evil in that process.
If you do your best and God still takes someone, you can rest peacefully knowing you stayed loving and did what was best.
We found out there are people who put their non verbal and severely handicapped children through multiple life-saving surgeries per year. That's not something we chose for our daughter.
