Our Golborne Road HQ was delighted to unpack a generous donation from Usborne Books. These books are going to help us hit our target of gifting 1 million books to young people living in book poverty, improving their literacy skills and boosting their life chances. @Usborne

As part of our amazing 'Share a Story' programme, we have held 10 pop-up bookshops at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, gifting 5,399 books so far. Regular events mean many prisoners have become regular attendees, reading with their children and enjoying the discussions the books generate.

Earlier this year, we teamed up with the @lonbookproject to help turn the page on book poverty 📚 This week, our Brighton team hosted a fundraising potluck lunch and collected 721 books to donate, helping children across the UK access literacy resources. At FDM, we believe education is the key to unlocking potential, and we’re proud to support the next generation with the skills and opportunities they deserve.

When you ask people about the books that changed their lives - the ones that really made an impact, shaping them at the deepest levels, never to be forgotten - they almost always mention CHILDREN'S BOOKS. That's why I think children's books are the most important books of all!
