It has been a pleasure Twitter. I made many scientific connections, heard new #chemtwitter perspectives, shared my mundane stream of consciousness. It's not just the company itself (#TwitterLayoffs), but I'll take this opportunity to disconnect 👋
"The Royal Society sold Chicheley Hall in 2021 and it is now an hotel and wedding venue" - Awh, I'll miss the peacocks, the spiders, and the dinosaurs in the woods
I present many hard years of effort between myself, Sir Woof, the groups of @Piero_Canepa@ZhaoGroupNUS and others.
The pitch: Aluminum formate (ALF) adsorbs CO2 really well at elevated temperatures, ignores N2, and is made reeeeeal cheap.
Enjoy!

Chiral molecules can generate strongly twisted light and highly spin-polarised currents. We found a simple way to control these properties in thin films, paving the way for next-generation devices. New paper in @NatureChemistry: nature.com/articles/s41557-0… 🌀
ALT a graphical abstract describing our paper, including diagrams of the molecules and strategy using in this work. by tuning molecular packing we can control optical properties.
Hey London-based Materials Informatics folks; we are stoked to be hosting the mighty @taylordsparks for a seminar @DERI_QMUL on Friday 11th 12:30 - 16:00. Limited spaces, snap them up fast! eventbrite.co.uk/e/data-driv…

Although offered as an ERC Advanced Grant, the process for UKRI transfer has been smooth. A new research adventure to begin on multi-scale models of hybrid organic-inorganic conductors! ⚡️
To my surprise, I got to chair a fantastic afternoon seminar at @impchemistry that included Emma Wolpert and the GAP legend Gábor Csányi. Raising #compchem to new levels!
