T2 on hybrid Kingsbarn, the same date as 2025. T2 on some wheat getting close, definitely earlier than last year (May 18th).

Spring beans looking ok considering how little rain they’ve received since drilling. Surprisingly there’s still moisture at 50mm.

Observations from the train heading towards Scandinavia through northern Germany. Crops not as forward/good as England. I’d say they’ve had a lot more rain. Very little sign of any spring cropping. Acres of poor quality grass. Wind turbines everywhere!

Here’s one for the techies. We have two fields where everything does what it should, section control. However for reasons unknown to me the screen doesn’t go green on certain areas? Just intrigued.

Opened the envelope containing this year’s fee to enable us to sell our produce. This is the tip of the iceberg, the real costs run into thousands. Legal protectionism, by key owners, some who farmers choose to also pay others who we have to pay!
