LG56 Aiming Competitive Circuit GRAND FINALS Updateπ¨
I am making this post to give an update about the state of the Finals for the LG56 Aiming Competitive Circuit that took place throughout last year.
First, I want to take accountability for the lack of communication from my end. Even though this is basically a passion project of mine that came from my love for the community and wanting to give something for aimers to participate in, I want to apologize to all the players involved for not being active and consistent with my communication and for keeping you all waiting for several months now.
Without going into details, the reasons for the long delay basically boil down to a lack of time and motivation due to personal and work-related reasons, as well as being in a bad state of mind for a while now on my end. This is not an excuse for not communicating properly, but I just want you all to be aware.
Now, for the good news! I have decided to get help directly from the community to make this happen, so I have partnered with
@emoAimers to host this! They have already run some aim training tournaments, so I trust their experience to make this a great event! Huge thanks to
@Badnametag_ for this partnership and to
@pyvnoaim for making a great tool that will allow me to have nice brackets and a way to track matches while the stream is live!
We are moving strong with this already and organizing all the details, so I want to give you a rough overview of what will be happening next:
1. As soon as possible, I will post the list of the 16 official finalists as well as their assigned seeds for the event and invite them to join the emoAim Discord.
2. Alongside that, I will share a document specifically about the Finals going over the rules, format, and map pool to give players the chance to get familiar with the scenarios if they desire; they have technically played them all already, but it has been a long time so they may need a refresher!
3. There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes (adding some features to the widget we will use on stream, talks with a designer for some custom scenes and graphics, and finishing organizing the whole thing haha), so currently there isn't a set date. We are aiming to do it in June, but there may be some changes if something doesn't go right.
4. In order for the event itself to not take extremely long, I made some slight changes to how the final prizes will be distributed depending on the final placement, but rest assured the Prize Pool is still the same (well, technically it is 1 dollar less since mathematically I couldn't split it another way haha). Even the player that finishes 16th will still receive a nice prize to reward the effort they made last year during the qualifiers to be able to get here.
With all of this in mind, I will attempt to be more transparent moving forward, and all competitors are invited to talk to me on Discord if they have questions. I will post any updates publicly on Twitter and my Discord as well.
Thank you for reading and for your patience.
