Wonderful visit last evening with Dr. Laura Stabile, Associate Professor of Pharmacology & Chemical Biology at the University of Pittsburgh and Member of the Cancer Biology Program at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. Fellow Libby’s Lungs board member, Stephanie Kaiser and I received an update on her ongoing research into women and lung cancer. Since 2019 Libby’s Lungs has raised over $400,000 to support her research and patient support services at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us this past Saturday for our inaugural Libby’s Lungs event as an independent 501(c)(3). We were honored to present the “Libby Do” award to @lpstabile for her outstanding research in women’s lung cancer. For those who knew Elizabeth, you will appreciate the special meaning behind the award’s name. We aimed to raise $55,000 in celebration of what would have been Elizabeth’s 55th birthday today.
