He had just transferred from West Virginia in January and was loved by many.

Some notes regarding time spent seeing Sam Houston football a couple times this spring:
- 3 freshmen are already on campus and participating: Cato June Jr., Kaden Winkfield, and Ty Sexton
- For a freshman, Sexton has been very impressive
- Standouts have been Kamari Maxwell, William Davis, Ishmel Atkins, amongst others
- Landyn Locke, like many others, have gotten physically better. Team has better size.
- The room that will be interesting to watch is the OL with Jack Bicknell Jr. overseeing it.
- Josh Alexander-Felton is a freak athlete.
