Completely agree with this one. It’s going to take us all some time to recover from these 2 incidents.
I shouldn't be locked in a restaurant on Franklin Street because of an armed and dangerous person. I shouldn't been texting friends and other folks that I know on campus to see if they're okay. This isn't normal. It doesn't have to be this way.

Yet again, the only “solution” NC GOP offers is more guns. Moore: “You’re not just going to snap your fingers and get rid of guns.” He’s right, I can’t - but he and his colleagues could. They just won’t. @NCGV @mfol_unc heraldsun.com/news/politics-…
N.C. House Speaker Tim Moore questioned why students have to be unarmed “when clearly there’s a way bad guys can get on campus.” heraldsun.com/news/politics-…

Instead of: no one wants to work anymore. Try: no one wants to be exploited anymore.

Folks, it's not a "teacher shortage." It's a shortage of jobs that treat educators with the dignity and pay they deserve.

With so much going on here right now, it’s hard to keep track of it all. Crisis fatigue is a thing and it feels like a deliberate tactic.

My #Christian friend #Christina told me that today's #moon is blue (no, it's not) because it's the second full moon in the #month. 😂 Oy. How can there even be more than one #FullMoon in a month? What does she think "month" means? #lunisolar #calendar #MedinatAmerica

Reminder: Billionaires are not “self-made.” They’re made via a combination of inherited wealth, government subsidies, tax loopholes, labor exploitation, and policy failures. Can we stop perpetuating a myth that blames the wealth gap on the choices of everyday Americans?

Don't be distracted. The big story isn't "woke capitalism." It's crony capitalism that allows the wealthy and corporations to roll back laws to line their own pockets.

Does this sound fair? MAGA Republicans have a "fair" tax plan to hit American families with a 30% national sales tax on everything from groceries and gas to rent and health care. It's not fair to impose taxes on working people, while giving massive tax breaks to the ultra-rich.

DeSantis banning AP African American Studies is a reminder of that old quote -- White privilege is when your history is the curriculum and every other history is an elective.

A basic fact about Florida's ban on AP African American Studies: since the creation of the Advanced Placement program in 1952, no state has ever refused to certify an AP course until now. No state has put politics ahead of its students' access to early college credit until now.

By refusing to seat Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell and Ilhan Omar on their committees while seating compulsive liar and conman George Santos and bowing and scraping to compulsive liar and conman Donald Trump, Kevin McCarthy has shown America exactly what he believes in: nothing.
