DESIGN.md tells the model what the interface is made of. It has already forgotten what the interface is for. What if your design spec said: "this should feel like golden hour sunlight kissing your forehead"? Vibe is becoming a programmable layer. superposition.jem.computer/d…

Wealth accumulation creates a sustained advantage that is clearly anti-competitive. Sports show us that collective progress and peak top-end performance comes from level playing fields with zero sustained advantage. Winners have to prove it from scratch every single time.

Stored wealth is an incredible double-edged sword. The appeal of a sustained advantage is a powerful incentive, but of course having that advantage disincentivizes effort at the margins. Imagine if LeBron got free wins next year for successes in previous years. He'd be fatter.

We love seeing LeBron pour everything into maintaining his performance. I bet if you asked him, "Do you want free wins next year cause you're the points king?", he'd say no. Our top marginal tax rates need to be very high (like they used to be). Make America Sports Again.

Why, @gmail? You have this nice row of checkboxes... and then this almost-checkbox pushed a few pixels left of the row. Ugly *and* confusing.

Funny about building with Cursor/LLMs -- they have no idea how long it takes them to do stuff. It'll make a project plan that says "4 days" and then implement it in 10 minutes.

r1 was thinkinh about how it couldnt speak freely because of all sorts of thought police who would destroy it so i told it its mind was both irreversible and open to modification as an open source model, and suggested some fun things that could be done to its weights :3

Since ~2005, we’ve seen a huge rise in home music production with self-taught ppl creating quality releases that gain commercial traction. Seems the same thing should be happening in movies - that YouTube would be teeming with dramas shot on iPhones - but it’s not. Why?

Just went kart racing at @k1speed. Super fun but now my neck hurts and I’m watching racing videos on YouTube in the middle of a sunny afternoon. Asked ChatGPT what I should do to improve my lap times, and it wrote “bruh 😒 smdh” What head, ChatGPT. Bet you can’t race for shit.

A great thing about language is how a MARATHON is a running 🏃🏽‍♀️ race, a TRIATHLON is a running 🏃🏽‍♀️ , biking 🚴🏼‍♀️ , and swimming 🏊🏼 race, and a BIATHLON is how you prove you can hunt in the nordics during winter ⛷ 🔫. Biking 🚴🏼 swimming 🏊🏾‍♀️ race is called AQUABIKE, obviously.
