Someone must whisper gently in his ear of the chap that whilst mining contributes 5.9% to the GDP the spazashop economy contributed 5,2%. Whilst mining employs less than 500 000 the spazashop economy employs 2.6 millions! Gently educate the chap. I thank you chair!

IPID and SAPS are in Parliament this morning to account on the handling of the Phala Phala scandal. It is despicable IPID confirms there were crimes (kidnapping, torture, bribery etc) committed by SAPS but no criminal charges were filed against them.
