Using sol as a currency is generally net zero. It’s bought then spent then sold.

Wait, it’s in cashback let’s rotate to USDC. Hold on, the ticker is wrong actually the photo is wrong. Wait, it’s AI so let’s turn on agent mode. Actually, we just found his GitHub let’s redirect fees. Wait, now he has a Solana wallet let’s send fees directly to his wallet. Oh wait, the narrative is dead and the only people who made money were the devs sniping 20% of the token supply for $500. Damn… I’ll catch the next one!

3 wallets 6.5 sol and I sell above my entry on lowest possible terminal fees and lost 0.568 SOL... how is any low port trader supposed to be profitable with fees this aggressive?

Anyone else feel like fees are stupid high recently? Im instantly down 0.4 on a 5 sol buy it’s actually insane.

I think I finally figured out why so many of the best memecoin traders come from the Fortnite scene… Fortnite is the hardest game to go pro in BY FAR. The game is pure reaction time, mechanics, pressure, and nonstop adaptation. That’s literally the most important skills in memecoins.

PumpFun teased an airdrop almost 300 days ago and has yet to give us any updates on it. Since then, they’ve added features that only push more volume, more extraction, more dumping, and more FUD. There’s zero leadership, zero direction, and zero attempt to fix the culture they helped create. At this point it feels like they’re just stalling so they can keep selling their tokens into the buybacks while the actual users get farmed. It’s gotten so bad ETH is starting to take the meme culture back.

The fee structure is one of the biggest problems. It taxes attention without really rewarding the people creating the culture, holding through the volatility, or trying to build real communities. Every launch becomes a churn machine where the platform makes money whether the coin succeeds or dies, while users are left fighting over scraps in an environment designed to maximize transactions instead of long term belief. x.com/lyftical/status/203171…

1/6 Why don't coins send as high as they used to? Part of the answer is hiding in the fee structure. Here's what the data shows. 🧵👇

Before anyone blames the users or says “SOL traders just have no conviction”… Maybe ask why conviction keeps getting punished. The environment is so extractive that believing in anything feels like volunteering to be exit liquidity. People didn’t lose the believer mindset for no reason. They got trained out of it.

$44,000 with dev fees Anyone saying memecoins are dead and over is just projecting. They got farmed, lost relevance, and now blame their failure on the market.

“airdrop coming soon”… It’s been 249 days since this tweet was posted and everything in it is complete bullshit. They have went back on everything they said they would do/work towards.

5/6 Raydium does this differently. Same $2.9B volume would have generated $7.3M in fees. $6.4M of that goes back to LPs. Only $870k extracted. 88 cents of every fee dollar stays. 12 cents gets extracted.

6/6 So what does that mean for you as a trader? You paid $4.3M more in effective costs on pumpswap than you would have on raydium. AND THIS DOESN'T EVEN INCLUDE TERMINAL FEES. Every trading terminal adds on an extra 0.75–1% per trade. that's not in this analysis. it stacks on top of everything above. The total extraction is higher. we just can't see all of it in one query.
