CRISPR-based genome editing has been transformative, but insertion of large sequences requires DNA damage machinery
How can we efficiency place DNA cargos anywhere in the genome?

As an academic writing coach, here are the 5⃣ most common mistakes I see researchers make in their scientific papers.

We loved having Yaniv @erlichya on the show!
Don't get those old preconceptions and myths about industry fool you - there is a fantastic, impactful, interesting and rewarding science beyond academia!
Of US PhDs granted in 2021 who had employment commitments:
36% were headed to academe
43% were headed to industry
8% were headed to government
7% were headed to non-profits
Think continuing in academia is the default path for PhDs? Think again.

Folks: I'm seeking panelists for two upcoming PhD-to-industry panels
1) PhDs in product/program management
2) PhDs in behavioral science
Do you fit either description? Know someone who does? Willing to be part of a panel? Please comment and I'll follow up with details.
Thanks 🙌
It hurts to get a grant rejection with positive science reviews, negatives citing lack of productivity. Lab opened in 2018, baby in 2018, COVID 2020-current ( two kids), my dad died in 2021. That plus papers in review forever ( 1yr); why do you think publishing is slow?
During my academic exit, I waited a year before starting to apply for industry roles. Why?
Because I hadn't given myself *permission* to leave academia. Once I did, I landed an industry role within 3 months.
Be kinder to yourself than I was. Give yourself permission to explore.

Supervisors/PIs do you expect your graduate & PhD students to call you by your first name?
(There is of course a cultural context to this question...)
