starting a thread here of sites i used to visit when i was younger as a budding vintage computing (specifically Apple) fan
when i was much much younger, learning about vintage computing, this site took up so much of my time: guidebookgallery.org/

noticed something interesting in some of Apple's automated emails regarding Apple IDs. they seem to contain the OBJ character (U FFFC) at the beginning of the email. not sure if this is intentional or an error. (and yes - this is a real email!)
ALT an email with subject "Reset your password or unlock your Apple ID", from appleid@id.apple.com, with the OBJ character (U FFFC) at the beginning of the email.

this interface takes me back so much... one of the first Mac OS X versions i used.
glad to have it working in a VM now for me to go back and use now and then.
finally getting back into my vintage Apple hobby and i'm so glad!

some late-night fun with Mac OS X Public Beta. i have this running on actual hardware (Power Mac G3) but decided i'd also start up an instance in UTM for fun. takes me back to see that menu bar layout and Finder - anyone remember the "Special" menu and "Late-Breaking News"?
