This is Herat where the Taliban authorities have asked clothing shops to behead all “female mannequins” calling them “un-Islamic”. Herat was called “the pearl of Khurasan” by Rumi and has been considered the cultural capital of #Afghanistan.

At my absolute lowest point I couldn't go more than an hour without injesting alcohol or my whole body would be in agony and terrible, incapacitating tremors. This weekend I reached 10 years (or 87,600 hours) sober, something back then that seemed utterly impossible.
