🌼 There are just a few days left to see Donna Kendrigan's surreal work, Season of the orchid, in our Handmade Universe exhibition.
Donna's botanical characters act out a scientific discovery made in 1927 by self-taught naturalist, Edith Coleman.

It’s been a while since I’ve been inspired to do any making but feeling pretty chuffed with these blackboard rocket ship party favours for Mr 6yo’s birthday.
I’m going to be presenting Stargazing for the Astronomical Society of Victoria at Mueller Hall, Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne in 45min. You’re welcome to tune in! Going live online via facebook.com/theasv or youtube.com/channel/UCfg1I7C…
'This meticulously curated exhibition sheds light on not only some of the wonderful objects in the State Library collection but the myriad of ways we can learn and know about the world through making.'

It's been a long day of copyright training but I still managed to sneak into the Victoria Gallery at State @Library_Vic to see #HandmadeUniverse. I loved all of the creations but Sarah Spencer's Stargazing knitted cosmos map created by hacking a knitting machine stole my heart!
